Lord, I Need A Miracle...

He said,"If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you."
[ Exodus 15:26]

Benny Hinn is well-known as a pastor who preaches healing. He has held healing crusades all over the world but sad to say, he has never enter the Malaysian shore maybe because he's an Israeli. A powerful preacher but one must know that healing comes from God alone and Pastor Benny Hinn is a man whom God uses to heal His people. It is wrong to think that Pastor Benny Hinn is a spiritual healer like those sitting in a temple and mumble up some mumbo jumbo stuff and let you drink from the burnt holy paper solution.... Get a grip of the book... it's really great to see how faith works when everything else fails in this world.

Please Be Patient... Sorry..

I'm having difficulties updating my blog. I'm currently very busy clicking on Facebook's Social City to get to Level 40 like most of my neighbours. I don't want to be below others no doubt I just started for less than a month. I'm a kiasu person... Give me another week or two and I'll be up and about blogging every day... that's a promise... a promise that I will try my best to keep...

And something is really wrong with my blog. The previous blog titles cannot even be seen. I don't even know what's wrong with it as I've checked the html codes and I don't see anything wrong with it.

That's the biggest but it isn't painful. I always have this encounter with huge blisters especially after an hour-long walk. Hate it to the max~! Now, I'm not even sure where I get this. From running and jumping while smashing at the badminton court or from my daily gym session of running. Truth be told, I prefer weight lifting more than running.

I do have many skills using both my hands. It's good to know what you're good in... but with my two feet... hhhmmm... by the way, I just peel off that piece of white thick skin while staring at the computer screen. There are times when my skin shred like a snake's. The after effect of sunburn then I'll be fair again. I can never be dark brown like others... always fair and lovely... haha~!

The Day I Become An Addict...

No~! I'm not a drug addict. I'm addicted to Social City. It's a stupid game that I clicked on after much pestering and I got myself hooked to it the moment I saw those cute little houses, hotels, the pink flowers and beach party. Yeah... yeah... sounded very silly.

I got so hyped with it that on the first day itself I hit past level 12. Then, it was 2 levels up in a day. When the XP increases, I targeted at 2 levels in one day. Now I spend at least 11 hours online and clicking away. Internet service sucks big time. W1max actually fixed the whole parabola in front of my house to get the maximum connection and my bill was waived for a couple of months due to their lousy services.

Now, the Maxis that I adore is showing symptoms of old age and crawling at the speed of a snail. Since yesterday because of my addiction and the slowness of those two crawlers, I landed myself in a cyber cafe. Yes... imagine me in a cyber cafe asking for a computer far far away from other people. And I'm clicking on Social City as if I don't have a computer at home when I have three computers in the house rigged with Wifi.

And today I'm doing the same thing. Me in a cyber cafe but Social City is not even loading. I ended up blogging while still waiting patiently for it to load... loading... loading...loading... loading... nah... like that lor... LOADING without even a bar of anything... worse still actually the rectangular box is black in colour... total darkness... not even the picture is loading..
Gosh... I've never been such an addict in anything. Even jet-ski didn't get me that crazy. Stitching also doesn't have this kinda effect. The bestseller books have no such effect on me either.

The Needles At Fault...

I broke three needles in three different masterpieces. All three broke into two. Thus, I've made the conclusion that it's not my fault but the needles fault. The quality of the needles. They're all from the same batch of Pony sewing needles. It's kinda cheap. When sewing with those needles, they're quite rough. I can make comparison now as I've bought a different brand of needles.
Yay~! DMC needles from UK. More expensive but still affordable. This one, it's really smooth while stitching. It can just slip through your fingers and run across the Aida cloth. I don't even have to struggle with half stitches and three-quarter or quarter stitches. I'll have to finish this masterpiece first to see whether the needle breaks into two or not. I'm 99% sure it won't this time round.
Some say that cross-stitching is an expensive hobby. I will have to say that all hobbies are expensive depending on how you see it. To me it's not expensive. It's the time spent that counts and also the unspeakable joy from seeing the work of one's hand.

Cross-stitching in Gym...

Looks like I have leave behind the habit of reading while working out in the gym. I'm going to do something new today.
I met a new friend, Claudine while working out. She's a Singaporean. I don't like to talk while working out because it's kinda distracting and my MP3 is playing full blast in my ears but since she has made an effort to start a conversation with me, I politely oblige by removing my earpiece and my motormouth just worked its way from a small conversation into a non-stop two hours yakking session while working out.
I always amazed myself with my ability to talk like I've known that person for donkey years. We were sharing about things that we like to do. She's 20 years my senior. *sigh* Why do I always have friends who are at least a decade older or younger than I am? Well, we chatted from one equipment to another.
She's gonna lend me some of her books but she likes trashy novels which I abhor so, she recommended another book - The Pillars of the Earth, a non-trashy novel that she said might be interesting to me. Talking about hobbies, she wants to learn doing cross stitch so I'm going to the gym later with my sewing materials. I wonder what will I do next... set up a stitching class in gym for free...

The armies of the world, along with the kings and presidents, have strived for some form of peace, but have never been able to find it.

History tells us that since the Great Flood, men have waged over 15 000 major and minor wars. They have signed over 8 000 different peace treaties and yet have only enjoyed a few score years of genuine peace. And most of these years were during the early Roman Empire, when the Christian gospel was first preached.

Yes, through the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can have peace for every situation in life.

Organisations, governments, politicians and educators are spending great sums of money on trying to bring people together to live in harmony. Husbands with wives, children with parents, white people with coloured people, one nationality with another nationality and so an endless saga just keeps on going. Few people realise this is a SPIRITUAL problem. Only when the heart of man is changed and the Prince of Peace reigns within, can true peace and harmony be achieved.

Be a messenger of the gospel of peace today.

Amandla~! Ngawethu~! iAfrika~! Maribuye~!

Those were the joyous cries that rocked South Africa after Nelson Mandela's release from a life-long sentence about two decades ago. I have read a great deal of books. This one touched my heart with his courage, his dedication, his long and difficult fight for freedom, not only for his own freedom but for the whole nation of South Africa.

To be borned into a nation where oppression and repression were so strong, it was difficult just to live like a normal human being. My prayer goes to Nelson Mandela who is 92 years of age now. For his whole life, he has fought against the apartheid system that condemned the Africans of their rights just because of their skin colour. The new generation might not understand his struggle and sacrifices as they are not in his shoes. To feel how a person really felt, there's no way of knowing but one should try to imagine and understand instead of making a blanket statement either through writing or drawing. A picture speaks a thousand words equal to action speaks louder than words.
The above picture was drawn by a South African local artist Yuill Damaso, a man who will draw what he likes. The statement he made regarding the painting,"He(Nelson Mandela) achieved great things by working hard, and he has so much influence on the country and the world, but the painting shows that he is just an ordinary man."

No one, no one can deny that he is just an ordinary man, breathing the same air and walking on the same ground as everyone else, but he has been chosen by God, appointed by God to walk this path, to lead his people to freedom from being oppressed. That's a HUGE difference~!!!! A task so huge that Mr. Yuill Damaso has no calling to. That drawing sparks controversy among the African National Congress people and the nation and at one moment, I am aghast by how dense and ignorant Mr. Yuill can be NOT to see the difference.

"Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says the Lord. "I will protect them from those who malign them."
[Psalm 12:5]

God preserved Nelson Mandela's life when he was in prison. No matter how bad the situation was in the country, he found favours in the eyes of the oppressors. He found favours in the eyes of the prison warders and everything was so because of God's timing. God's timing was never out. God does things at His own pace, in a miraculous ways no one can even explain.

Out of an oppressed and repressed nation, Nelson Mandela was chosen and raised up to break the bondage. For the oppressors - the whites mainly, you've forgotten that there's a sovereign God above you and the Lord will judge you for what you've done to a nation - a nation who is innocent and fought hard to live like anybody else.

"Do not mistreat an alien or oppress him..."
[Exodus 22:21]
That verse is clearly stated regarding Social Responsibility in the Bible.

The Lord is very clear about how one should NEVER oppress a person...

"He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more;
when he opens his eyes, all is gone."
[Job 27:19]
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
[Psalm 9:9]
He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.
[Proverbs 14:31]
A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.
[Proverbs 28:3]
The stones of the wall will cry out, and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.
[Habakkuk 2:11]

Go on and read the whole book of Habakkuk...

This is a man whose fight against apartheid and succeeded in doing so has drawn international attention thus, he has been the Nobel Peace Prize recipient in 1993. That drawing by Mr. Yuill Damaso is really really very disrespectful to someone who is so much older than he is and without him, Mr. Yuill will still live under oppression and might not even have the freedom to draw anything that he likes not to mention the freedom of voting in a democratic country. Even worse, without the work of Nelson Mandela, Yuill Damaso will not even have the chance to exhibit his work of art. You owe Nelson Mandela a public apology as your artwork has been published worldwide so it is only wise that you apologize to him worldwide, in every form of mass media that you can think of.

You'll Have to Agree With Me In This :o)

There is one blog that I will visit without fail. Though some might view that blog as too lengthy with font size a little too small... well... actually that's what I think, but I still like it. I found something hilariously funny so I'm taking one-tenth of the content and write it in my own way :o)

This is a fact in life. Ladies who carry handbags, the bigger your bag is, the more stuff you throw into it and the longer time you'll need to search for something you really need. Like myself, I have great difficulty rummaging through my stuff just to search for my ringing handphone. As I used to carry three mobile phones, now reduced to two only as one can insert two SIM cards, I still have problem searching for the screeching PDA. By the time I picked up my PDA, it would have stopped ringing and the other phone will ring. Then when I managed to get hold of the other phone, it will stopped as well.

I have the habit of calling back those who miss call me. But then, it always amazed me as immediately after the phone stopped ringing and I call back, no one would answer from the other side. It makes me wonder what happened to that caller immediately after calling me.

Then, I also need quite some time to rummage for my car keys. It's always somewhere squashed by my two wallets. Sometimes, with my eyes wide open, I also can't find anything I wanted.

Surprisingly, I'm able to crawl to whichever corner of the bed, just to hit the snooze button on the screaming alarm clock. And I hit it right on the button without fail. I didn't hit it once or twice. The most I've done it was make it snooze for one whole hour. I think I'm not the only person who has the ability to do this even with half-consciousness and eyes totally closed.

God's Workmanship...[155]

The Greek word for 'workmanship' incorporates the thought that we are a 'work of art prepared in advance'. We are a WORK OF ART~! Specially prepared and hand crafted by God. Like this statement "God hasn't finished with me yet, I'm still under construction".

When a potter is making a clay pot, he works from the inside and through to the outside. As God moulds and shapes our lives, as the Master Potter, he does the same. He works on the inside shaping us into the person He wants us to be. What a privilege to be crafted, moulded and trained by the Master.

May we allow the Holy Spirit, each day, to hone and shape and craft our lives, into the men and women He wants us to be and show the good works that reveal the Master.

~ God is not only the God of history and of the future, but He is also God of the NOW ~

Exceeding Greatness...[154]

Oh, if we could only grasp this incredible fact and allow God more room to rate His mighty power.
As I sit in my seat in an aircraft at take off and feel the tremendous power of the engines pushing me back into the seat, it never ceases to amaze me of the incredible power to lift off those tons of aircraft and passengers.

However, God's keeping and sustaining power is ours. When you enter into an elevator, you don't struggle and jump up and down. You just commit yourself to it, relax and push the button and you are taken to your destination.

May we daily commit ourselves into His powerful hands.

~ I am kept by God's power, blessed by His provisions and assured by His promises ~

Open Your Spiritual Eyes...[153]

I believe every day, God wants to open our eyes to new truths and to new revelation. We are challenged to...

Ask the Lord today, to further open your spiritual eyes.

Remember, a saint on his knees, sees more than a philosopher on his tip toes. When a person travels he enters into new experiences. When a person flies in an eaeroplane he sees wonderful sights. The key desire is to keep enlarging your world.

~ No day is well spent without spending time with God ~

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
[Ephesians 1:17]

Here, Paul is specifically praying for a 'spirit of revelation'. Yes, God still speaks today~! He speaks through His Word, through His anointed messengers and through personal revelation by the Holy Spirit.

We daily need God's revelation and personal 'rhemas' for guidance, direction and divine wisdom.

I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. [ Galatians 1:12]

Let us make sure we receive God's revealed Word personally before passing it on to others and let us be open to God's personal revelations today.

~ True wisdom and revelation starts with a heart full of faith, not a head full of facts ~

I Don't Know What I Am Doing Anymore...

It is suppose to be what it is meant to be, but it's veering towards another area which I don't have the guts to even go near.

Broken families. Dysfunctional families. I used to think I just have to teach and not to be bothered with other stuff. I have my precious whom I've been looking after for 7 years. I'm glad she obeys me and she has shown me great respect even though I'm not her biological mother and I love her like my own. I have another two which I have difficulties communicating with as I'm too fierce most of the time. I tried to mellow down.

This time round it's a massive one. I put out that shoutout for prayers and I would like to thank those who responded to it. At that point of time, I can only cry out to God as no words were able to form in any way. I don't know how to pray for her. She's only 13 and she did what I thought she would only do when she's 17 or 18. What I said proved to be true when she didn't return home that night.

How much anguish she has caused everyone. I feared for the worst as nobody knew whether she's dead or alive. The next day was spent searching for her and filing a missing person's report at the police station. She has no idea how much heartache she has caused everyone.

They want new clothes I gave them. They want to have good food, I gave them. They want to have an enjoyable time watching movies, going shopping, just trot around places with me, I spent my time doing so. How much more can I give?

I'm starting to think whether I'm operating tuition centres or a shelter for displaced teenagers or just a place for them to release tension and let them enjoy themselves while studying.

I'm glad that they've come to know the Lord. God's Word is sharper than any double-edged sword.

I wanted to be different and now it turns out totally different from any other things that I know of. God... help me... I'm lost. I can't take care of so many of them especially the rebellious one. With my temper so bad, I might tear her apart one day with my bare hands...

What's With Folding The Blanket?

I think all mothers say, scream and yell the same thing,"TIDY UP YOUR BED! FOLD YOUR BLANKET.... DON'T LEAVE IT IN A HEAP~! STRAIGHTEN THE BEDSPREAD~!" Why not just take an iron and iron it? It will look perfectly neat and tidy.

Does the neatness of one's bed represent the personality of a person? Why need to fold the blanket when after a few hours of waking up, some will take a nap. After a nap, wake up then catch a forty wink. Then wake up and sleep for real until the next morning.

For me, I practically live in my bed. I can't live without my bed. When I was still studying, I read lying down, curling my feet under the comforter. Now that I'm working, I work while in bed. When I'm in front of the computer, I'm still in bed. I just need to crawl to the other end of the bed. Just prop up a Japanese-style table and I can do many things in bed.

My comforter will be in a mountaineous heap but sometimes when it rains, my comforter becomes a real comfort.
See... this is called multitasking at the highest level. Whenever I need a change of clothing, it's on the bed. While playing Social City thru Facebook, I can make my fingernails look sparklingly shiny with Seacret's buffing block... on the bed as well. After that, while waiting for the factories to finish a contract, I can do my cross-stitch. My work can be done too as my office is just there at the other end. All the drawers are lined beside the bed thus, everything is within my reach.

So... what's with folding the blanket?

Keep it neat so that visitors will not see how terrible you are at keeping your room clean? By the way, outsiders are NOT permitted into my room unless I permit them to. Why will a person bring the guest into one's room? A bedroom is a private and personal hiding place not meant for visitors to enter.

I will just keep it as cosy and as the way I like it which is I'M NOT GONNA FOLD MY BLANKET~! Hehehe... and I've never done so throughout my life and nobody can make me fold my blanket... :o)

Where Singaporeans Do Not Have To Queue Up...

* This blog post is written upon request *
One of the readers of my blog highlighted three events where Singaporeans do not have to queue up. I have photos to proof that the significant someone is correct... :o)

Firstly, there is no queue while waiting for the MRT. I think from my photo, it is very clear coz' if there's a queue or a crowd, I would not be able to snap such a clear picture of the entrance/exit of the MRT. The waiting time is reasonable as well. At tops I've only waited for 6 minutes but that 6 minutes felt like an hour. When there's no large crowd to accompany you to wait, you will feel like 1 minute is eternity.

Secondly, you do not have to queue up when there's an expo. I did not manage to attend the PC Fair as I've left Singapore at that time. This was taken in SunTec as well. It was a Book Fair. Are Singaporeans not avid readers? The books were very cheap even after conversion but sad to say, I did not have enough luggage space to fit books in and I spent my money on clothes. There wasn't even a small crowd at this section. Just a number of people browsing thru' the books. Maybe I was there at the wrong time. Lastly, you do not have to queue up after church. A mega church at that. That was not a queue. It was just a congregation of worshippers inching towards the escalators in an orderly manner. No human stampede. Very safe.

* Next plan: Checking for the cheapest flight ticket to fly in to Singapore to attend church service, shop about and then fly out back home on the same day.

We Queue Up For Different Reasons...

We were taught to queue up and not to jump the queue. First come, first serve. There are many reasons for what we queue up for. We may be spending a few minutes or a few hours just to queue up but as we need something done, we have to sacrifice our time for that.

We queue up to board the bus - public bus, school bus, express bus, the train and even to board the plane. Many people will start queueing up at the boarding terminal, while I would be seen sitting down. You already have the seat number secured, so why queue up for so long. Let the rest enter first. For the previous flight, almost all the passengers started to form a queue even though the plane has not arrived.

The next thing that we queue up for is when we are buying food. Queue up at the counter, wait for your turn, place your order and if it's self-service, take your own tray to your table. When I was in Singapore, I followed the television ad for Singapore food, which was to follow the queue and it will lead you to the most delicious food. No comment. *shakes head* Kiasu-ism spirit...
Of course you have to queue up to get tickets for the movie you wanna watch at the cinema. The queue will be extremely long during the holidays or the release of the blockbuster movie. The longest queue I've ever seen in my life will be the one at GSC.

Queueing up to enter a retail store? Oh, no~! I'm so not gonna do that even if it's for LV or Prada. It's just too ridiculous but well... some people do that. That's the joy of having so much money that you have no idea how to spend it except for shop for more branded stuff when that money can be channeled into better areas such as supporting the mission field, join the feed a child programme and lots more.

Another shock came to me when I was in Universal Studios Singapore. The queue for each ride was at least an hour. Some for 48 minutes and some I queued for more than an hour. Each ride was less than a minute. Yeah... sounded crazy but I did it. I queued for all the kiddy rides. There isn't one suitable for adults. Being an impatient person, I had to entertain myself thanks to my loyal digital camera tagging along in all my trips.
Now, the best was yet to come until I saw the mammoth queue. The queue started as early as 6 a.m. and lasted until 5:30p.m. for different services. Praise God for this. It's the queue for God. Even the queue for Avatar could not compete to this one. The queue went around the whole building and stretched in every nook and corner of the building. This was a shocking revelation to me as I've never seen people queuing up to attend a church service. The cinema beside the church has no queue at all.
New Creation Church is one of the mega churches in Singapore. I have yet to attend City Harvest Church held in the stadium with congregation as large as 10 000. Say Amen to that~!

Spirit of Wisdom...[151]

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
[Ephesians 1:17]

How we need divine wisdom~! Every day we are in contact with the world system - the television, radio, newspapers and work and family associates, all feeding in their ideas, comments and suggestions. Very rarely are these inputs godly and divinely directed.

Let us pray for ourselves, as well as for the leaders in our land, that we will walk in godly wisdom and revelation.

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law. [ Proverbs 29:18]

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings, in heavenly places, in Christ.
[Ephesians 1:3]
What a privilege to be a born again believer.

Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. [Proverbs 10:6]

It is God's nature to bless, but this is conditional upon our lives being in a right relationship with Him.

A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished. [Proverbs 28:20]

As we faithfully follow the Master, we can look forward to His abundant daily blessings in every area of our life.

Heaven is full of blessings and answers to prayer, for which no one has ever bothered to ask~!

Welcome to My Blog...

I would like to extend my warmest welcome to new readers from Aruba, Libya, Japan, Vietnam and Myanmar. Feel free to browse thru my humble blogosphere.

Totally Renewed...[149]

It is wonderful to know God's power and blessing in your life. Here, we see God's daily provision being made abundantly available through our Lord Jesus Christ. We all have needs and they will either be met by this world, the flesh or the devil or by God. We choose our source of supply. The riches in glory Jesus Christ has are totally available to use. Isn't that staggering~! Spiritually speaking we are richer than millionaires~! Every day God spreads a divine smorgasbord banquet before us and we have the choice to partake or not.

When a person receives an inheritance and it is listed down on several pages, the natural response is to go through it very carefully so that nothing is missed.

God has a tremendous inheritance for us. Make sure you use what is yours, and what cost God His Son to vie you. These riches are yours.

What a wonderful God we have. Make sure you draw upon God's resources and riches today.

I Simply Live For You...

Sing~! Yes... time to sing again~! The blog will be slow again in updates... I'm very sorry 'bout that because right it this point of time, I'm very addicted to Social City in Facebook. I will still update it a few times a week... hopefully one day, one post.

And I'm spending a couple of hours in gym... about to be a gym freak with all those weights equipment by Cybex. And weekly badminton session.

I'm trying to catch up on real life... not virtual life as I live so many hours in the virtual world sometimes I don't even know where I exist... in the computer or in the real world.

God At Work... [148]

For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey Him and then helping you do what He wants.
[Philippians 2:13]

To succeed in the Christian life we must realise that it is only "Christ in us" who can live the Christ-one life. It is by His strength and His enabling.

God will make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you through the power of Christ, that which is well pleasing in His sight.

[Hebrews 13:21]

An exchanged life. Exchange your life with that of Jesus. None of us could live the Christian life BUT it is only as we trust and exchange our lives for the life and power of Christ, that we could experience the power of God in our lives.
God is committed to empowering and strengthening a righteous believer...

In The Virtual World...

Thanks to Facebook... all of us are able to live the dream we couldn't even grasp in reality... so, do it virtually and enjoy every moment of it...
There are many roles you can take on...
Open up your own cafe thru Cafe World. You'll have the agony...oooppss... the joy of owning your very own cafe without paying a single cent. My mama is addicted to this...
Plant your own crops and rear whatever farm animals that you can think of on your own piece of land.... in other words, have a good experience being a farmer...Go all out war as in real life, you know very well that if there's any war breaking in the country, you'll be the first to run away instead of carrying a machine gun and fight till you breathe your last for the sake of your country... so just play Mafia War...

To be a contractor, developer and architect all at once... hahhahaha... I'm so addicted to this... come on people, just click on Social City. Add me into your Facebook friends list at I'm so so in need of more and more neighbours... Once I used to say my mama is a Facebook game addict, now, I'm even more addicted... can't help it... once started, can't stop... I'm already in Level 13 within 2 days...

This is my FIRST time being addicted to a game... and a Facebook game at that... *sigh*
