Was sick on Thursday so had to stay at home. Since I was only tossing and turning under the comforter, I switched on the 29-inch screen in my bedroom. It was a blessing in disguise. It was fun watching movie at around 9p.m. coz' I have not been doing that for a long time minus the pains and aches from head to toe and the hurricane in my stomach.
I had the opportunity to watch 'Pay It Forward'. It was such a good movie. I give a thought about the movie. Pay it forward is really very simple. Choose three people... not choose, I'm positive that God will send the people who needs help. It might not even need a single cent to be spent. Help may come in many ways. Lend a helping hand, give a shoulder to lean on, just listen without making any comments and the list goes on. It may just be a simple gesture to a stranger and it might make the world a better place. Do not give up easily though, for I know, down the road, the people whom we help will disappoint us. It will drain you physically, mentally and emotionally. Take it as a challenge. Know that God created humans special. There is no two same people. Don't expect much and don't put up hopes too high, then you will not feel hurt. A thought will creep into your mind, "Why am I putting so much effort to help this person, when he/she is not even lifting a finger to help himself/herself. Is this person worthy to be helped at all?"
Remember, if you do not expect anything from anyone, then you will not be disappointed.
Well, give yourself a pat on the back. You played your part. Somehow or other, your nice gesture will touch the innermost recesses of the heart and mind. Move on and help the next person who crosses your path. You will never know how much a small, kind gesture can make a big difference in another's life. The person you are helping may be the one who has betrayed you before, a person who has put so much agony in your life, but ponder upon this verse:
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you. [Proverbs 25:22]
Give it a try. Ask the person whom you have helped to forward it to three other people.
