Avoid every kind of evil[1 Thessalonians 5:22]
Appearances can be deceiving. However, we must watch our appearances as people are watching. Some people say it doesn't matter how we look on the outside or what we do, for God looks at the heart.
Yes, that is true and remember He is the only one that does! Man DOES look on the outward appearance and it does give a message, so watch your outward appearance.
Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form or whatever kind it may be. [1 Thessalonians 5:22] from the Amplified Bible
God always replaces a negative with a positive. When He says to "put off something" He always tells us to replace it, by "putting on something".
Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature. [Romans 13:14]
For the ear tests words as the tongue tastes food. Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.
