Day 7: Ita Thao, Sun Moon Lake...

~ 20th March 2014 ~
Ita Thao pier...
After a few minutes of ferry ride, we finally arrived at the other end of Sun Moon Lake. You will see that small piece of land with steel fishes stuck on some rods. It's a nice piece to be shot by the camera if you would just slow down instead of marching on and chasing after the cable car. That cable car ain't going anywhere. I only see people stepping out of the ferry and marched on as if they are chasing after the train. We were slow. I think for our next trip, we will be extremely slow and making sure we have every meal. Sun Moon Lake is really beautiful but I see no sun and no moon.
LeaLea Hotel....
There's a hotel facing the lake. We wanted to stay somewhere looking out into beautiful scenery but we never get to stay in places like that because we were too stingy to spend on rooms which we would spend at least 8 hours only to sleep in. That was a really good looking hotel. Lealea shoud be one expensive one which we would not mind paying. How we wished that we booked into such an expensive place like Lealea. What wishful thinking....
Is that a farmer in the picture?
We took a slow walk, actually we wanted to walk fast so that we could reach the huge amusement isle up on the mountain as soon as possible, but we need to take photos and we stopped at almost everything beautiful. Until today, we had no idea what does that piece of artwork represent.
Homestay....
There's not much to see in Ita Thao village. You can finish the whole stretch of few shoplots in 5 minutes. But the homestay is surely very beautiful. This is very English-like and cottage-feel. How I wish I have such a piece of garden but I doubt any of us would sit there under the hot sun.
Combs of slim and long bananas...
We found food~! We had a comb of bananas for breakfast. The bananas were really sweet and we didn't bother with the price. When you're so hungry, even if the bananas were a few hundred NT$, I would buy them.
Everything deep-fried...
There's this lady selling all these deep-fried stuff. I can't remember whether we buy anything from her or not. Do you know that deep-fried food is very unhealthy yet it's a money-making food industry? Everybody loves deep-fried food no matter what the age group unless you really have the self-control not to eat them. We're selective in our choice of deep-fried food.
Wild boar sausages...
But... I'm positive that we bought a few sticks of wild boar sausages from her. That's all we had for brunch, not breakfast. Brunch = Breakfast + Lunch just in case you don't know. It's not a jargon. It's just an English word.
