Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.
[Romans 12:2]
Growing up as a Christian also could be called "being tranformed". Metamorphosis means "a complete and total change" from one lifeform to another. In the lives of people, accepting Christ as Saviour means a complete inward change that will bring outward change. *There are people who go to church for years but never accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. By the way, Satan goes to church, too.* A Christian's metamorphosis, unlike the caterpillar's one-time event, is an ongoing process.
If your life today is the same as it was last year, then you need to start being transformed. You need to begin maturing.
As a lifestyle, you have to be invovled in retraining all the time. It has to become something you like, something you enjoy. You have to be seeking to change the way you are all the time, not just when you are forced to by relationships or interactions with other people or circumstances around you.
Maturing means that we have different thoughts and different attitudes than when we were younger, and this maturity is reflected in different actions. The tranformed life is one in which we change, grow and progress to become more like Jesus every day.
Use your imagination to catch the vision of the person you were meant to be.
