Fish 349 was so good according to my expensive tastebud that we went there again for dinner. This time round we brought someone along. He was an elderly man from Sydney who joined the day tour just like us. His wife passed on and he was just crossing off his bucket list. The last time he was in Tasmania was decades ago with his wife. He was just reminiscing the good old times and enjoying his life.
We asked our guides to drop us off at Fish 349. We shared a table, that's what you would see me doing most of the time. I get along well with strangers. We ate in silence because the food was too good. Every bite and every mouth was precious gold. If only Tasmania was just a few hours drive away then I would be there most of the weekends, enjoying my seafood platter. The juicy and succulent scallops - they were so good.
After our dinner, we walked our new friend back to his motel. Ours was the furthest away. Really out of the way and with the uphill and downhill walk, whatever we've eaten from Fish 349 were completely digested when we arrived at our motel. I wanted to walk back for a second round of dinner but again, the same thing would occur.
The nite was spent waiting for my travel buddy to arrive from Melbourne. Pinky is my best travel buddy and no one can take her place for that because she was God sent~!! The travel buddy would be coming in with our rented car. I was immediately turned into a driver the next day, no longer a tourist enjoying self but one keeping focus on the road.
