The Flight Out of Penang...

It was a flight out after just one phone call. Business... can't run away from it. Started clicking for the cheapest airline. I prefer MAS but people always said AirAsia very cheap. Cheap your head~! It's RM50 more expensive than Firefly. LCCT so far away. Firefly landed in Subang Airport. Since I have nothing better to do at the airport, took some photos. I regretted not bringing any books along but if I were to bring books along, I cannot concentrate in any work as I'll be totally absorbed into the book.

Oh, so that's Firefly.. the plane with the propellers. I wonder which seat I've got?
Exactly next to the left propeller! Eh, don't propel halfway then stop har... You stop, my heart also stop. As I can't find anything else to do, and I can't sit still without doing anything, I whipped out my camera from my bag and started taking photos. Nice view from the top. Why didn't I take photos when I fly with Malaysia Airline last time... hhmmm... Enjoy the scenery. It's one long flight... yes, one hour to me was long. What am I going to do when I fly to Australia in an eight-hour flight? Eight hours of snapping photos? I'll need a book for sure.

Firefly provides lite refreshments in midair... strawberry cupcakes and juice. AirAsia stingy some more not cheaper than Firefly.

Continue with my photo-snapping session... oil palm plantation...
Landed in one piece at Subang Airport... then got myself excited again when I saw all the helicopters...
It was quiet in Subang Airport. Got my taxi ride out easily and in less than 10 minutes of that smooth ride, I wanted to scream my head off...
It was one horrible bumper-to-bumper crawl and the thing was it wasn't even crawling. It was not moving at all. It was on a halt for half an hour then it started crawling slower than the tortoise. It was still bright when I was in the taxi. The ride lasted until the sun went to sleep...
It took another long hour to turn to the next road. If it wasn't raining, I would have gotten down from the taxi and walk all the way. I did that when I went to KL a few years back. I can't stand the traffic jam, I told the taxi driver I wanted to get down and walk. He said I'll probably reach in a few minutes and that he would still be at the same spot, not moving at all. Then, I saw the buildling I was heading towards but it took another 45 minutes just to get to the buildling. So near, yet so far. Another hour to Cheras. I will never complain 'bout traffic jam in Penang Island anymore. The only thing I could think of during the rides was I want to go home. I didn't even feel like shopping around..

Hahhaa... should be nice. Imbi Road Bak Kut Teh in Cheras...

I was busily using my spoon to scoop around for meatballs. OI!! Why no meatballs?? I only need 'bak uan' in bah kut teh... the rest don't have also never mind. No yam rice also... yeerrrrr... too hungry to be choosy.

What To Do With My Hair?

I like my hair cut straight...no fancy hairstyle please. I'm not one who will spend hours standing in front of the mirror trying to figure out how to comb my hair. Want me to blow my hair dry?? Dream on I will do that. Even if there's anyone helping me, I won't want also. But I like my long hair. The above was a mistake someone did that I have to live with. So, I didn't cut my hair for two years.
Can't it grow any longer? Oh, well... I came back from KL looking like this..

I told the hairdresser cut however you like.. just surprise me. Oh, boy... really surprising. I DON'T LIKE SHORT HAIR~! So, I'm not gonna cut my hair for another 3 years. I feel like shaving it bald... don't like my wavy hair.. comb and no comb makes no difference.

Marriage Made In Heaven or Hell On Earth?

There's no such thing as having limited friends. My circle of friends grow every day. Every time I'm out with my fellow networkers, they have so much stories to share. There are a few which boggle my mind right until now.

During courtship, it's all lovey-dovey... what happen after that? Of course, every family has its own problem. These few life stories make me think hard.

My host in KL has a very sad ending to her marriage. After getting married, immediately her husband turned into a monster. She has a monster mother-in-law as well and as she has to stay with her in-laws she has no choice but to keep quiet as her husband listens to his mother 100%. He started beating her when she was 8 months pregnant. Then, he wanted another child and now they have the second baby, he asked for a divorce. Crazy man! Her son was taken away from her by force. God bless in next month's court hearing to grab back your son. God will help those who are oppressed.

The second person was beaten for 12 bloody years. 12 YEARS!! I salute to you... you must have really love him and bore him 3 children. I don't have that kinda patience to get beaten for 12 years. Raise your hands against me, you'll see your arm on the floor and me with a butcher's knife. And next day's newspaper headline... and then me in prison. I better deal with my own temper before I get involve with anyone... :-(

The third person is one loyal and faithful wife and the husband went to see prostitutes daily. Oh, wow~ I don't know how I will react... but I don't think I will keep quiet and put a smile on my face for him.

So, I kinda get brain-washed about getting a life partner. I'm positive that God will definitely prepare one who is compatible with me and who will not torture me. Or should I rephrase that sentence. I'm not going to torture my other half either physically or mentally. Not going to think 'bout that for now... I just want to build my empire for now and get what I want fitting in perfectly in God's big plan without anymore distraction...

Readers Are Leaders...[36]

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
[Proverbs 27:17]

You will be the same person, as you are today, in five years time, except for two things:
1) The books you read.
2) The people you meet.

I have made a decision to increase my reading input, to a higher level than I had ever had before, with positive, edifying, inspirational and motivational materials. And also, to make sure I chose and mixed with positive, go-getting, encouraging people.

Let's make sure we are building the right things into our lives and passing on encouragement to others *That's equivalent to me spending less time with you online lest we quarrel in merry-go-round style*

Mooncakes...

Ooohhh... isn't it too early? When's Mooncake Festival? I don't know and I'm not even sure when. Nice packaging though..
but I'm not a fan of mooncakes. Too sweet and too expensive. Thanks ya... since it's given to me every year...

Food For Your Soul...[35]

" ... ever nourishing your own self on the truths of the faith and of good Christian instruction, which you have closely followed."
[1 Timothy 4:6]

It has been observed that highly successful people listen to, and read inspirational and motivational tapes and materials every day.

It is your responsibility to "nourish your own self" every day, particularly if you are in a leadership position. We must learn how to nourish ourselves in every area of our life.

God wants to give us a 'new attitude' every day. Towards ourselves, towards other people and towards the varied circumstances and opportunities every day.

"Times of change, are times of fearfulness and times of opportunity. What they become for you, depends upon your attitude toward them."
~Earnest C. Wilson~

Allow God, every day, to give you a 'new attitude'.

From you waking moment, to the end of your day, you have a choice of what you let enter your mind. Don't give the devil 'airtime' in your mind and don't allow your own negative thoughts to programmed your God-given mind. God's programme, is to have you THINK on the things that are -true, honest, just pure, lovely, or good report, excellent and worthy of praise.

Remember, you will fall, remain or RISE, to the level of your THOUGHTS! Make sure you NOURISH YOURSELF every day! *In another way of telling you, read your Bible whether you're tired or sleepy or lazy*

A man's reading programme should be as carefully planned as his daily diet, for that too is food, without which he cannot grow mentally.
~ Andrew Carnegie ~

In Unity with God...[34]

I will seek to view everything and do everything with the mind and attitude of Christ.

We receive one of the greatest challenges and privileges, when we are challenged to have our mind controlled by Christ.

It's Tough..[33]

That's from Colossians 2:6

Each day we are faced with new challenges and problems and this requires a constant attitude adjustment if we are going to walk in victory. Living in vital union with Christ is the secret :-)

When you run into your 'problem mountain', that it can't get any bigger, but YOU CAN!

When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

Change...[32]

"Now, change your mind and attitude to God and turn to Him, so He can cleanse away your sins, and send you wonderful times of refreshment, from the presence of the Lord."
[Acts 3:19]

Each day we need to have a changing, growing attitude toward God. Regardless of our age, we need to have an improving attitude and picture of God. This attitude will deal with sin and wrong motives. And will bring us wonderful seasons of refreshment from the Lord.

Spiritual renewal is possible only when it is voluntary on man's part and unrestricted on God's part.

Laughter is Highly Therapeutic!...[31]

Good emotions are the best medicine.
"In the few years since medical men began to understand the mechanism of functional disease, they have been so occupied with telling the bad effects of the wrong emotions that they have neglected to stress that effects of the good emotions. They are just as beneficial to the person having them as the wrong emotions are detrimental.
As a matter of fact, good emotions are the greatest power for your good health that we know of today.
He that is of a merry heart has a continual feast.
[Proverbs 15:15]
The body knows the secret of optimal hormone balance. We do not. But there is one way you have of achieving optimal hormone balance. That is to provide your body with the stimulus of the pleasant and cheerful group of emotions. The 'medicinal' value of the good emotions cannot be over estimated.
The healthy emotions have just as great an effect on the pituitary gland as the stressing emotions do. Their effect is just as powerful in the direction of good health as the effect of the stressing emotions is toward bad health.
The healthy emotions, such as equanimity, resignation, courage, determination and cheerfulness, stimulate the pituitary to produce an optimal hormone spectrum, and effect with far greater power for good health than any drug, or set of drugs that we know anything about."

That verse above is from Proverbs 15:13

The Two People I Love Most...

The first one will be the one who's 90% like me. A person whom I yak yak with for many many hours every day. We have cold wars a few times and I ended up with the white flag ALL the time. Hate you for that! Yak yak about everything. The 10% of difference makes me wanna strangle that person at times.

*Perasan case... some more ask ppl to put up photo.. tak pernah aku jumpa orang sebegini perasan*

The second person will be the one whom I put in very difficult situation most of the time. This one will dig free time then I'll successfully send him up the walls. Do this wrong... do like that also cannot... then how?? Heehehehehe.... Scream your heart out.. I doubt that there's anyone else in your life who can make your life so colourful...

I love you both! Life without you both will be so quiet... if you're still asking me who... you go 'long piak'

Hmph~!

NEVER! NEVER HAVE I SEEN SUCH A PERSON! IRKS ME TO THE BONES...

I guess those who know me will also say the same thing??? Haih...

PS. This post is not for the two ppl I love most... you know who you are...

R-E-L-A-X ...[30]

This one from Proverbs 14:30

Attitude, more than anger, determines your energy output. In our hectic world of rush and bustle a relaxed and calm mind is not often found. However, it is God's will for our lives.

Relaxation is a state of physical, mental and spiritual calm. It is the absence of tension. The word relax is derived from two Latin words - 'laxus', meaning 'loose' and 're' meaning 'again'. If you think about these two words 'loose again' you will grasp some of the significance behind relaxation. Now tension is not all bad. As a matter of fact, tension is necessary in the body to achieve high levels of performance. But extreme and persistent tension is very bad. Therefore, it is essential to learn the art of relaxation and balance it with the benefits of healthy tension.

Then we will know that "a relaxed mind makes for physical health".

Take time to relax and draw in the strength that comes from God.

If I haven't got time for relaxation, I am doing more than God intends me to do.

My Cobweb of Thoughts...

There's so much on my mind. There's so much work to do. The amount of paperwork is piling up, I want to do but I find no will-power to settle them. My accounts books are screaming to be kept balance. The whole room is turning into a big mess again. The only thing I really want to do is disappear somewhere without any distraction. I need my quiet time. Nowadays the phone keeps on ringing at the wrong timing. It rings when I'm bathing halfway, when I'm cooking and when I'm driving. When I'm sitting down blogging away or chatting away, the phone's quiet. Working seven days a week is not right. It has never been right since the beginning of time.

I have mix feelings in everything. Stay away from me. I'm PMS-ing now.

To the two person I love most, still love you both!

Get Me Out of Here...[29]

But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendents will inherit it.
[Numbers 14:24]

Caleb has some very distinctive charasteristics in his life:
1) He had a different, positive, faith-honouring attitude.
2) He had a total dedication to the Lord.

This resulted in:
1) God's promise to bring him into the Promised Land.
2) His family was going to inherit the same privileged blessing.

It was this same attitude that caused Caleb, at 85 years of age, when facing the challenge of possessing the enemy territory of Hebron, to say:
"Give me this mountain!"
[Joshua 14:12]

Have a God-given, different spirit and attitude in all that you do, as you wholeheartedly follow the Lord. I will not settle for mediocrity, but I will decide to have a different spirit and attitude, in everything that I do.

Successful people do think differently and consequently, act differently.

Attitude is an Inside Job...[28]

That's from Psalm 23:4-5

Attitude is a behaviour pattern, a position taken, a line of thought, a feeling, a settled behaviour showing an opinion of mind, a settled mode of thinking.

Attitude is a learnt pattern of behaviour. It is a daily choice and this develops into a lifestyle, behaviour pattern.

85% of the reason a person gets, keeps and performs well in a job, depends on their attitude and only 15% on their aptitude.

Attitude is a mind set. It is the way you look at things mentally. It is the way you communicate your mood to others. You can have an optimistic attitude, or you can have a pessimistic attitude.

Your attitude is never static. It is a continual, on-going process. It has been observed that normal, successful, mentally healthy people, regardless of age or profession, are not automatically positive. These individuals continually search for ways to maintain and improve their positive attitude.

No one can have a positive attitude all the time. Excessive optimism is not realistic. There are times when we do feel down, but winners are those who can regain their positive attitudes quickly. When someone jars your mental focus into a negative direction, those who are positive know that in order to bounce back, adjustments must be made.

A positive attitude is the outward manifestation of a mind that dwells primarily on positive matters.

An optimist is a fellow, who when he wears out his shoes, just figures he's back on his feet.

The Spirit stands for progress, and evil, by definition then, is that which refuses progress.

Altering Attitude...[27]

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
[Ephesians 4:23-24]

One of the greatest keys to abundant successful living is the development of the 'right attitude' to life. Choosing the right attitude, will make or break your daily living experience.

The importance of having a right attitude by Charles Swindoll:
"Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitude towards life. The longer I live, the more convinced I become that life is 10% of what happens to us and 90% how we respond to it. I believe that the single most significant decision I can make, on a day to day basis, is my choice of attitude. It is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes or failures, fame or pain, what other people think of me or say about me, my circumstances, or my position. Attitude is that 'single string' that keeps me going, or cripples my progress. It alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope. When my attitudes are right, there's no barrier too high, no valley too deep. No dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me"

The greatest discovery of my generation, is that a man can change his destiny by changing his attitude of mind.
[William James]

I guess the word is 'repentance'. Looks like I'm writing for myself now instead of you.

We can alter our lives, by altering our attitudes.
