New Year Resolution (Year 2009)

Writing New Year Resolution... I can write but can I keep them? By God's mercy and power I will be able to keep them. Here goes...

  • Hit the monthly target that I've set for myself... the Lord will provide, I shall not worry.
  • Go along God's plan instead of grumbling and complaining and wanting my way
  • Spend more time with God
  • Pay tithes accordingly
  • Be extra hardworking and use every single minute wisely
  • Expand my empire
  • Spend less time on the Internet as it is very addictive
  • Shake off my addiction towards JL designer drug
  • Control my temper
  • Be more compromising and have mercy for others
  • Spend more time reading
  • Find time to pamper myself
  • Spend time with my two mothers
  • Watch the nice nice movies, not missing even a single one... will find time to squeeze all the movies in
  • Go snorkelling
  • Go to Australia
  • Go to London
  • Go to Singapore
  • Go to Japan

Argh! Why so long? Can I keep up to that? Change to one only: Follow God's plan.

I Want To Do This...

This Kitty did not even move an inch. It was sound asleep. I want to sleep like that. Don't want to wake up and then.....wwwwwooooorrrrrkkkkkk..... I want to have a good slumber and wake up automatically... no alarm clocks... no phone calls... N-O-T-H-I-N-G! Throw the computer out of the house... Internet is a big distraction... but hey! I'm using one now. If not, I won't be able to blog about it. Human inventions. Love them and hate them at the same time. Can't live without them either.

"Kitty, what time do you plan to wake up? It's already 4p.m."

What I Enjoy Most...

It's not clothes. It's not food. It is neither white gold nor the sparkling diamond calling me softly. It's FREE! It may look dirty and polluted BUT I enjoy watching it. Just staring. Just relaxing in the blowing, gentle breeze.

I AM BLESSED TO LIVE ON AN ISLAND!!

~ I LOVE PENANG ISLAND~

Christmas Dinner at Ben's Diner

Ben's Diner in Sunway Tunas, Bayan baru offers the best western cuisine. Even though the diner is not published widely, I'm giving a thumb's up for the food and the ambience plus the food presentation. The price is reasonable as well... not cut throat expensive but each serving is more than enough for one person.
Pork. Tender. Juicy with apple sauce. Each slice was cut as thin as paper. Usually I don't eat pork except for bak kua * I can finish 1kg of bak kua in less than 30 minutes* and meat balls. I only survive on meat balls and prawns during Chinese New Year. The apple sauce was neither too sour nor too sweet. Tasted good on the taste buds. Love the smell. There were 6 pieces altogether. Should give it another try next time.

As long as there's chicken, I can enjoy the meal. I cannot remember the name of this dish. Not that bad just that I have never tasted the sauce before. I can't seem to figure out what was used to make the sauce. Never mind. Keep it special. It's not nice of me to 'cetak rompak' most of the sauce to save money dining out and cook at home. Should enjoy the good food served by others once in awhile. Love the potatoes. Taste like potato chips but soggy type.

That's salmon with Ratatouille. Ratatouille is a farmer's dish. Lots and lots of vege especially aubergine. I HATE vegetables. Never like the taste except for a few exceptional vege. The salmon was well marinated. No fishy smell. I like.
It was a good experience. Basically, it is not where you have dinner. It's with whom you go with. Love you, Mama!

Eating & Shopping..

The opening of Pacific Departmental Store adds to my list of exercising my rights as a customer. Most of the time I will enjoy walking, strolling among the racks and racks of clothes, shelves of shoes and bags. There are many beautiful blouses, skirts and dresses including pants, trousers and shirts that I would love to splurge on. *Sigh* I am so stingy. I will always ask myself, "Do I really need those? It's not that I don't have anything to wear. I have two wardrobes about to burst, in fact, already burst if my clothes are not arranged neatly. Are Malaysians really hit by the economic slowdown? I doubtfully think so.

At the main entrance of Pacific is a newly opened coffee shop. Georgetown White Coffee. It looks very deceiving at first, as the signboard and logo seem to be the one used for OldTown White Coffee. Are these two coffee houses related? Customers kept walking into the restaurants until the there was not enough food to be served for everyone. I had my Apollo Bun... I can't really remember what was written on the menu... I just ordered ice-cream.. as long as there's ice-cream to kill the heat, that should be ok.

Yummy-licious! Don't look at the price... then it won't hurt your pocket. I know that the bun cost only RM0.40 and that one-scoop of ice-cream should cost less than RM0.50 if I buy the 2 litres box. Well, if I want other people to serve me my food then I have to fork out the money. Not that expensive if you're too hungry to count. If I'm not mistaken, it is about RM4, more or less.

Cooling. Sweet. It left my taste bud jumping for joy. I have always love lychee. I can finish up two cans all by myself. Usually when I'm out, the drinks that I order will be Milo ice, icy cold chrysanthemum or soya bean. I drink neither tea nor coffee unless there's no other option to choose.

"A hungry girl, is an angry girl". Waited for more than half an hour, then the waitress came over and said in one breath, "All rice finish already. There's nothing more except for fried noodles." I was thinking to myself why would I want to order a RM9.90 fried noodles when I can get cheaper ones by the roadside. Therefore, I do what I'll always do. Demand for my food! The manager immediately grabbed a plate of Nasi Lemak and a plate of Nasi Rendang Ayam and I served myself. I have done that to OldTown White Coffee in Sungai Petani. Demanded for bread when it's already closed. Spoke to the manager, "Mister, don't tell me the whole kitchen don't have even a piece of bread? We, from Penang, will die in this jungle if you don't let us in and let us EAT!" I said a silent prayer and viola, the manager let us enter and served us immediately.

ARGH! I'm so lazy to blog.. savour the food in the photos will do...

Split In Between...

"When are you coming to SP? This Sunday or next Sunday?" asked my big ma.
"Eerr... but I want to go shopping...," I replied with my voice trailing so soft I think she didn't hear it.
"Coming, ya. I'll cook for you nice food this Sunday," said big ma.

Wow! Nobody can make me go anywhere without asking me first except my big ma. She just needs to say, coming ya, and I have to drop all my plans and drive there. At first, it was out of obligation that I went there, but in the end it is out of love. I know I always complain when I'm there, no place to shop, nothing to eat, stay in the jungle in Tapah better. I know she loves me very much and I think she loves me the most among all five siblings. So, I should be a filial daughter and visit her as much as possible.

I have to admit that I feel very blessed to have two mothers who love me very much. I love both of you, too! Muacks!!

Pay It Forward

Was sick on Thursday so had to stay at home. Since I was only tossing and turning under the comforter, I switched on the 29-inch screen in my bedroom. It was a blessing in disguise. It was fun watching movie at around 9p.m. coz' I have not been doing that for a long time minus the pains and aches from head to toe and the hurricane in my stomach.

I had the opportunity to watch 'Pay It Forward'. It was such a good movie. I give a thought about the movie. Pay it forward is really very simple. Choose three people... not choose, I'm positive that God will send the people who needs help. It might not even need a single cent to be spent. Help may come in many ways. Lend a helping hand, give a shoulder to lean on, just listen without making any comments and the list goes on. It may just be a simple gesture to a stranger and it might make the world a better place. Do not give up easily though, for I know, down the road, the people whom we help will disappoint us. It will drain you physically, mentally and emotionally. Take it as a challenge. Know that God created humans special. There is no two same people. Don't expect much and don't put up hopes too high, then you will not feel hurt. A thought will creep into your mind, "Why am I putting so much effort to help this person, when he/she is not even lifting a finger to help himself/herself. Is this person worthy to be helped at all?"

Remember, if you do not expect anything from anyone, then you will not be disappointed.

Well, give yourself a pat on the back. You played your part. Somehow or other, your nice gesture will touch the innermost recesses of the heart and mind. Move on and help the next person who crosses your path. You will never know how much a small, kind gesture can make a big difference in another's life. The person you are helping may be the one who has betrayed you before, a person who has put so much agony in your life, but ponder upon this verse:

In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you. [Proverbs 25:22]

Give it a try. Ask the person whom you have helped to forward it to three other people.

Stomach Flu..

Had fried eggs with onions and bread for breakfast. Lunch was fried rice which turned out to be nasty coz' I threw up everything in the toilet bowl. The whole plate but it felt like I threw up double the amount. Emptied the whole stomach. Then feverish. Whole body aching like shit. Can't even sleep well just tossing and turning under the comforter.

I HATE BEING SICK! plus i miss having my LX and JL designer drugs. Yes, I'm a druggie... hahaha... need to sign up at rehabilitation centre but they wouldn't accept me.. coz my drugs are abstract not solid...

From Deep Within..

These are the rhema words from God himself, "Mount up in prayers. Be persistent. Press on as God hears."

I am pressing on. God, you know I'm pressing on. I'm hanging on to you. I'm trusting you 110%. I'm still learning. It is faith in you that I need to brush up. It's my mistake to question about your moves and try to act against your will. I want a hearing heart to hear your still, soft and gentle voice.

As a mere human being, sometimes I do wonder are you really there? Do you really hear me as there are so millions more crying out to you for something more important than what I am asking for. Lord, I'm just your steward but I know sometimes I veer the ship the other way... my way... not yours. Forgive me...

Another Day of Pure Relaxation...

After Transporter 1 & 2, Transporter 3 was still caught me by surprise! It's a MUST WATCH movie... put Quantum of Solace out of the movie race. I was amazed by his driving skills. I want to drive like that but I'm not surprise the traffic police will be tagging behind my tail and I will get my driving license revoke in no time and the car compounded.

Nissan Sylphy... not my choice of car anymore. Change to Audi. Don't want Merc coz' have driven Merc before... not to my liking. Anyway, a car is just a car. Four wheels to get you around so as long as the car is still taking me from point A to point B, I should be contented with what I have. I'm driving free cars, so no complaints. Amen to that !

Four Anchors of God

#1: The strong anchor of the PRESENCE OF GOD
Last night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me...[Acts 27:23]
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." [Hebrews 13:5]
... and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." [Matthew 28:20]
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. [Psalms 23:4]

#2: The strong anchor of the PROMISES OF GOD
... and said, "Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you." So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. [Acts 27:24-25]
... being fully persuaded that God has power to do what he had promised. [Romans 4:21]

#3: The strong anchor of the PLAN OF GOD
For I know the plans I have for you, declared the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. [Jeremiah 29:11]
In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. [Proverbs 16:9]
But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil heart. They went backward and not forward. [Jeremiah 7:24]

#4: The strong anchor of the POWER OF GOD
The rest were to get there on planks or on pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land in safety. [Acts 27:44]
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: First for the Jew, then for the Gentile. [Romans 1:16]
For nothing is impossible with God. [Luke 1:37]
"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." [Jeremiah 32:17]
Now to him who is able to do immeasuarably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us... [Ephesians 3:20]

Another Lovely Week...

Christmas is just around the corner. Christmas shopping... again. Now, I'm being paid to go shopping. The feeling of getting paid to do window shopping is just beyond comprehension. Thanks to my sis, I'm blessed with the job. Kill two birds with one stone. Get to try out the items, don't have to buy but I get money instead. Hahahaha!!! A marathon shopper like me is smiling from ear-to-ear.
Igor wasn't a very nice movie. The cartoons were hideous. The ending was a bit of a something, though. "I would rather be a kind nobody than an evil somebody." First time I slept in the cinema watching a movie... and a cartoon in fact.
Madagascar 2... the dancing lion was so adorable... BUT I LOVE BOLT!! Bolt is so much cuter... I love doggie!!
Another Bond movie. Action pack but I prefer Bourne movies.
Leonardo Dicaprio with beard. A very deceiving and manipulative movie. How evil men can be to achieve their goals.
Watching Bolt was different. Bolt was so cute. The hamster was so cool. Disney cartoons always had moral values behind the stories. Bolt taught us about loyalty and friendship. The saying "Dogs are men's best friends" is true. A guy who sat behind me, wept uncontrollably at the end of the movie. He must either be very emotional or he was simply touched by the cartoon. I, on the other end, could only held my laughter if not I would probably burst out laughing in the cinema.

Another week gone. I have only a few more weeks to relax before another round of hectic calendar year. Hold on to God's promises... a plan to prosper, not to harm.

Wembrey Park in Gurney Plaza

The food was just so-so. Wanted to try out the curry chicken but there was no chef to prepare the curry. If the manager told me earlier, I wouldn't want to enter the modern kopitiam.
Had the herbal chicken rice. Not so nice, though. I can cook better and tastier chicken rice.
Hainanese chicken chop. Not bad. Not that mouth-watering either. Looks like I'm not giving good comments... not being fair to the boss.
I must be very bored until I can blog about food and drinks. So very unlike me...

The Three Sisters...

This is the first time the three of us took a photo together... plus my niece who refused to sit by herself. My eldest sister is in the middle... hmm.. the eldest yet the smallest in size. I, on the other hand, is the youngest among all siblings and cousins, yet the biggest in size. The only thing we have in common is we can really laugh until the whole place shake, be it in a restaurant, house, at the beach or just anywhere. Put the three of us together, we can talk until people actually believe that the sand is gold... hahahaha!!! And I'm the most aggresive one coz' I believe in myself and I have my own principles... nothing will ever change me except God himself. Love you both!! I have two elder brothers and most people who have seen us said that I look like my eldest brother but the only difference is I'm outspoken and he's too quiet. My second sister is exactly like my second brother... It's really a blessing to be the youngest! Aku anak manja...

ASIMO

Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility

It took 22 years of painstaking reserach and development to create ASIMO - a humanoid robot which walks, runs with i-Walk technology and waves...

ASIMO has the ability to carry a tray but the total weight must be less than 300g and it takes 4 hours to charge the battery which works for an hour only. Congratulations Mr. Honda! You deserved two thumbs up for such a great invention..

That's ASIMO dancing with the children on stage to the beat 'Rasa Sayang Eh'
I bought cute little ASIMO at only RM23...

What Am I Up To These Days...

Looks like the shopping malls are under my attack... again... For instance Queensbay Mall and Gurney Plaza. What do I do there? If not window shopping, I'll be splurging... therefore, usually when I go out shopping, I bring neither cash nor credit... bring just nice for food, movie and parking to avoid spending unnecessarily.I am the loyal customer of Scholl for their sandals are so soft and comfortable, but I realised that the quality was not as good as advertised... can't last long but still very friendly to my soles. I can 'exercise' walking for hours wearing Scholl sandals. Recently, I am contemplating changing to NYC.. equally as comfortable but not as expensive. As long as I am comfortable wearing them it should be ok. Heels... hmmm... Crocodile and Larrie?? Sembonia? Nah... I'm not into heels..before I walk a step I will end up in hospital with broken ankles.. both ankles in fact.
I'm not really into bags but now I'm actually aiming at the red Polo bag coz' the rest of the bags are just too pricey.. if given a choice, I will leave the house empty-handed. If I bring a handbag out, I may forget whether do I actually carry a bag out, or I misplace it somewhere or it has just gone missing. So better not carry a bag... but due to too many things to carry out, I have no choice but to carry a bag.. I wonder how come guys do not have to carry a bag yet they can chuck their things in their jeans pockets yet don't look bulky..
Ahh... Triumph & Sloggi.. my all-time favourites... will never change to other brands. Valisere is just too expensive.
I LOVE CLOTHES! Which gal doesn't love clothes especially when you have the privilege to buy without looking at the price tag... but I do look at the price tag because I don't believe in buying a plain shirt at RM299.. just looks silly buying such an expensive shirt. It's just A SHIRT. Wear it to cover your body. On the other hand, I am crazy over Hush Puppies, Crocodile for Women (only in KL), the MOD House in Gurney, MNA which sell beautiful dresses, Dolly, Voir, La Vita from Taiwan and Korea, Cape Cod by Metrojaya, Padini, PDI and World of Cartoons. That... I couldn't stop myself.
New Zealand ice-cream in Queensbay is a dessert that I have quite often. I am much in love with chocolate... Haagen Dazs is something which I indulge in once in a blue moon... very smooth and creamy, I must say..
Ok.. now this is scary... I am spending a lot of time looking at the white gold, diamonds and gem stones. I see, I touch and I BUY! WHOoopppsss!! WOW! I love this feeling... I am a member of Goldheart and the sister company Aurora Jewelry (selling Platim- Platinum Sterling), Wah Chan and Lorenzo Diamonds... next stop will be Poh Kong and Diamond & Platinum..

Those are the few things that I enjoy touching, trying and in the end buying... which is not such a good habit... I blame it on the school holidays... Without the holidays I will not have the time to go, with the school holidays, I have so much time to kill... hehehe.. I love my life and nothing can change that, except God himself....
