Sense of Security

Turn around and look around yourself. Do you feel secure walking alone in the broad daylight? The answer is no. You won't know whether you've been mugged by some crazy person. Maybe the crazy person picked on you randomly. Nowadays, it's not safe to go anywhere either alone or with a group of people.

What about when you have to go to the banks at night? Why go at night? Well... probably to avoid queueing up and also to avoid the hassle of looking for a proper parking spot. Anyway, now most banks have cash deposit machines which work 24 hours. But will you feel secure going in there alone and how do make sure that you'll be safe and sound when you walked out of it.... or even will you walk out alive? Some may think it's crazy but think about it for a moment... do you actually know when you'll die or how will you die? I bet those murdered victims didn't even realize they died a terrible death and were in the front pages of national newspapers.

Our country has purchased a lot of equipments to secure the land and its people. Buildings hired security guards and make sure there's proper lighting so that patrons will feel secure walking in and out of the buildings. Take a look here.... this is very different....

Can anyone make out what the two squarish lights are? Well that's EON Bank in Jelutong. The two lights came from the screens of the ATMs. On the right of the ATM is the cash deposit machine which I used. Thank goodness I have my handphones in which I used the light from the screen to shine myself in punching in the numbers.

I can't even see the slot to insert my card or even to insert the cash. Since I'm used to the machine I just fumbled about and managed to get out of the place after 5 minutes.... my longest time in using a cash deposit machine.

I won't stepped there at night anymore... Just wondering, EON Bank has no money to pay for electricity or too poor to get a repair man to repair the lights??

Well done... OCBC... very brightly lit bank. They even hired a security guard to look after the place for the night. I wonder who's looking after what... or is the bank a shelter for the guard? He's even snoring and not even bothered when I stormed into the bank... so loud I even frightened myself... but he's not even awake! Such a nice slumber... who doesn't want that kinda job? You're paid to a full 8 hours of sleep but I think he slept more than that... that time only 11p.m. and he was snoring like a pig already.... cooling some more... the air-cond so powerful.. how many horse power huh??

If by any chance robbers enter... the guard will shoot himself coz' too groggy when just woke up so won't know where're the nose of the gun.... *sigh* That's why Malaysians are always criticized for their sikap sambil lewa.... this one too lewa already....

I'm glad to know that I have someone watching over me....
Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip - he who watches over your will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
