Changing at the Right Timing..[3]

"Into the hands of every individual is given a marvelous power for good or evil - the silent, unconscious, unseen influence of his life. This is simply the constant radiation of what man really is, not what he pretend to be."
[William George Jordan]

God made everyone special and unique. There's a trademark for everyone. Of course, you shouldn't keep what's not that nice about yourself. It's not easy to change as it will take time. It's hardwork but the fruit of the labour will be so sweet. Where to start then? No, I'm not asking you to change physically. Keep that hairstyle. Keep the way you dress and keep your walking pace... but can you slow down when you're walking beside me? I think if I drop into the drain also you won't realize :-(

Go back to changing from the inside-out. It is not impossible to change - to have a positive change. Start from the heart - not your brain.
But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
[Deuteronomy 4:29]

...but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul...
[Deuteronomy 10:12]

..so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
[Deuteronomy 30:6]

...turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
[Deuteronomy 30:10]

"Cheong hei"... repeat non-stop. Well, don't think that way :) It serves as a constant reminder. Humans tend to forget especially when we're very comfortable in our own zone. I might be screaming at you after a few weeks when you go back to your old behaviour. Let's do it differently. Remind each other. When I'm nasty, remind me to be nice and have some gentleness.

...The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
[1 Samuel 16:7]

It is not an easy task to ask a person to change. You may ask and beg until your saliva dried up but if that person has not come to terms with himself, it's worse than trying to move a mountain. As long as you're willing, there's always room for change.

..for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
[1 Chronicles 28:9]
If you are a "nominal Christian"-that is, you live the Christian life in name only-the devil probably will not bother you much. Why should he? You are little or no threat to him. But when you determine to be a fully devoted follower of Christ, living out the truth of God, seeking to impact others with the Gospel message, then brace yourself. You will be known.
Sometimes we wonder if anyone notices what we do for Christ. Rejoice that God knows! And stick close to Him, because it may be that some of the attention that comes your way may challenge you to the core of your commitment.

"Father, help me stay close to You and draw from You the strength I need to resist the devil. May the shield of faith extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
