Finally, we were able to tick off Mures Upper Deck as that ultimate place to dine in. It was in the travel buddy's list thus, it must be fulfilled come what may. That's how we do it when we travel together. We will combine both of our itineraries so that none of us would be upset. Even if time did not permit, we would manage to squeeze in somewhere or other. The travel buddy is a better time-keeper. I have no sense of time when I'm on a holiday. I thought the whole world would be waiting for me but time waits for no man.
Mures Upper Deck is more to the high-end dining and I have to honestly say that I prefer Fish 349 and even the Asian Gourmet on the Pier. Maybe I chose the wrong platter. The mix seafood platter where everything was deep fried should not be served on the upper deck. There are many ways to prepare fresh seafood and deep frying them is one way that pull the quality of the seafood all the way down to the bottom most rank. You only deep fry thy seafood when it's no longer fresh and it's starting to smell. Deep frying can cover the fishy smell. If it's fresh, steam it and the whole world will know it's fresh catch~!
The print on the menu was minute size and there's some reading to do before we decide what to order. We were in a rush to catch our flight back to Melbourne. The waiter asked whether I want a Chinese menu. I was a little bit insulted because I could not even read one word of Chinese and if he really brought the Chinese menu to me, I would take years to place my order as I need to Google translate every single word. Not all Chinese can read the squarish Chinese characters. I'm one of those bananas.
In conclusion, as long as the travel buddy is happy, I'm happy, too.
