There are three tremendous truths in this verse....

YOU ARE OF GOD
If you have received Christ as your personal Saviour, then you are in God's family - you are of God. You now receive all the inheritance of a child of the King. The moment you receive Christ, at least 34 things happened to you...will tell you that later on.

YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER
We are in a spiritual battle, and it is primarily in the spirit realm. Through Christ's victory at the Cross, all the enemy's principalities and powers have been broken, and so we can become an overcomer. The following part of this verse tells us how this is possible.

YOU ARE POWERFUL
"Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." The reason we can be an overcomer and be powerful, is because we have the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of Glory, living within us! Whatever the devil, the world or our own flesh throws at us, we can overcome, because Christ is greater and more powerful than any of these enemies of our soul.

"Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you."
[Deuteronomy 3:22]

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
