Words...[111]

A man is praised according to his wisdom, but men with warped minds are despised.
[Proverbs 12:8]

One of the strongest areas of contrast that Solomon focusess in upon is the tongue and how we speak.

How discerning we need to be when we open our mouth. Solomon continues this theme when he says...
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the ool gushes folly.
[Proverbs 15:2]

We need to be very selective in our speech, for once we have set something in motion it will continue in the track we have placed it in. Kind and gracious or angry and violent. What we sow or 'set in motion' we shall reap.
A careless word may kindle strife.
A cruel word may wreck a life.
A bitter word may hate instil.
A brutal word may strike and kill.
A gracious word may light the way,
A timely word may lessen stress,
A loving word may heal and bless.
