In Singapore, Follow Law-lah~

Graffiti is the name for images or lettering scratched, scrawled, painted or marked in any manner on property. Graffiti is any type of public markings that may appear in the forms of simple written words to elaborate wall paintings. It has existed since ancient time.

"Oliver Fricker, 33, was charged Saturday with one count of trespassing and two counts of vandalism for breaking into a train depot and drawing graffiti on a subway car."

That was the news that I read from the newspaper. His mistakes were to break into the SMRT depot and also spray-painted graffiti ON the subway car...

That wasn't a smart move... why not on the wall? Graffiti is also a form of art with vibrant colours and it is very creative in a way... I really like it but I'm not saying what he did was right. It was totally wrong to be spraying graffiti at such a long stretch...

Different people have different views regarding art and what is beautiful. It may be beautiful to a person but, ugly to another. A few pics to show the government approved art on walls... which I will never agree that they're beautiful... just hideous in my opinion. I'll have nightmare looking at them for longer than 1 minute...
Singapore is not Melbourne and it will never be like Melbourne. I wonder what will happen to that Swiss guy if he dares to do this in Singapore....
Yupz... spraying grafitti from one end to the other end of the alley... cane him till his ass split into a floral-design crack? Look at the colour of buildings in Clarke Quay... that is another form of art...
I still think he's wrong for trespassing into the SMRT depot and spraying graffiti on the subway train but should his punishment be so harsh? Why not find a suitable place for him to release his creativity and show his artistic talent... he might be able to attract tourists from the whole world just to view his artwork on a whole stretch of walls... that will be a good punishment where it will also boost the country's tourism by introducing art in a different way...
Students from a college were making this as their project. In the video, I supported the Swiss man by saying that... and I'm saying it again... he shouldn't be caned if found guilty and how is he gonna raise SGD100 000 to set bail? Give him a whole stretch of street with high walls and make him spray them with graffiti... that will be the most brilliant idea... a major tourist attraction...
BUT well... in conclusion, we should always abide to another country's law to show respect to that country.
