Oz Day 17: Slow Goodbye to Gold Coast...

~ 22nd November 2015 ~
It's taking forever for us to leave Gold Coast. We booked an evening flight, the one after the sun went down. All the more we should have driven to Brisbane~!!! *slapping self for feeling lazy*
We did not want to go to any of theme parks in Gold Coast. We grew out of it. No love for theme parks. We went to The Old Sea Wall Beach Park. I had no idea how much time we spend there but it felt like forever. There were many activities going on at the beach and on the sea itself. Even the playground looked more interesting than the playground back at home. If there were such facilities at the playground outside my house over here, I bet the children and teenagers will dismantle every piece in less than 10 minutes.
Fancy looking at little flowers? There's a luffa tree as well. It's my first time seeing it. I think you can pluck it down and use it to wash your water bottle straight away?
Finally, we found a shopping mall that looked like such much fun to walk about but we had only 30 minutes in hand. Oh, terrible~! Why must everything close so early at 5p.m.? Why can't it be 10 p.m. like other Asian countries?
We had something to eat at Groove Train. Worth trying out something different. Chicken puff mi madre and I shared while the travel buddy had her favourite risotto.
Then, we sent the rented car back and asked to be dropped off at the airport. We had so much time to kill we were looking at every stall selling food. In the end we chose Noodle Box. When we had so much time, we refused to queue up. We started queuing when the line started to snake about then suddenly we were in a hurry. The uncle taking order was really slow, we felt like helping him to man the counter. I also felt like helping the lady cook to fry the noodles. I think the travel buddy and I would have done a better job.
Terrible us only know how to complain. Our noodle boxes finally arrived. The smell was great but the taste was.... *slam door* bye bye.... Oh, the number of prawns... marvelous~!! So much noodles, here in Penang can sell as 3 plates already...
