Oz Day 18: Little Bourke Street and Beyond...

~ 23rd November 2015 ~
I was looking for a shoe repair shop, found one through Google search and gave it a call. Then, we were off to Little Bourke Street to send mi madre's new UGG for repair because while in Tasmania, a naughty little twig poked through the front part. We left the brown UGG with the cobbler to have some plastic surgery done then we went looking for something to eat.
After being there for more than two weeks, we realized that the breakfast set of pancakes were not worth the price that we were paying for, multiplied by slightly more than 3. Since there's not much choice, we settled for brownies for breakfast at The Brownie Bar along the little lanes inside the building. The brownies were chocolatey and nutty-licious but on the sweet side. We like dark chocolate.
Then, we walked through Myer, David Jones and the Emporium. The kitchen section was our favourite but in the end we went to another small shop to get stuff for our kitchen back at home.
This is one shop that you should go to. That's the Let's Cook & Bake Create Celebrate but sad to say, if you Google for it now, it's written as permanently closed. Why? Where have you move to?
We went to Chinatown and Target after that. Nothing much in Chinatown except for restaurants and more restaurants. I think I can get better Chinese food back at home but for those Chinese who are living in Melbourne for good, Chinatown ain't that bad. But I found jewels in Melbourne which is far better than Chinatown. Will you show you in the next post. Target has nothing much as well. I'll still crawl back to Coles and Woolsworth.
By noon, we decided that we had enough of city walk thus, we decided to go home. We're good. We could take the train and toot toot all the way home. We even stopped by at Let's Bab! to get something to eat. I think we had japchae without our knowledge because at that point of time, I have no interest in anything Korean.
Then, we became more adventurous and crossed the train tracks to explore the neighbouring housing area. How we wished that the travel buddy's house will be a 5 minutes walk from the station~! For now, we needed at least 20 minutes to walk to the station. God answered my prayer. The new house that's still under construction is seriously just under 5 minutes away from the station~! Thank you, Jesus~!
