Two days ago, Thursday, was Penang's public holiday, something to do with the Heritage honour that we received by Unesco. I took this opportunity to catch a movie. Since it was a Thursday, the cinemas will release new movies. I've watched Transformers 3 so I need not rush over to join the crowd who wanted to excite themselves with large robots thumping over the large screen. No doubt there were bad reviews about Michael Bay's story line, I do like Transformers. After watching Henry's Crime, anything else that move faster than you yawn is a great movie.Jim Carrey has always been a hilarious actor. In this case, the story carries something more meaningful. It's more about belonging in a family. At the end of the movie, the penguins had to choose between going to the man with the fish or going back to Popper who has been giving them love. The penguins chose Popper.
It's just the same as human. Which will you choose? Wealth or family? Many will choose wealth because the society today rates a person's success by seeing the car that they drive, the size of the house, the location of the house and everything that has a $ sign. And old parents are deem carrying a dead weight around the neck. I choose family... that's why I'm right here in Penang, not going anywhere.
