Rolling With Laughter...

Year 2010 is coming to an end. I have a collection of messages that send me rolling away in laughter. I believe that not even one is genuine so I don't mind sharing it here. I've ignored all these messages as not to provoke something which shouldn't exist. I do not intend to correct the spelling or grammatical errors. These are originals... thank you for colouring my days when they are dull... One of the messages that I haven't delete...

It is not very long since I soy your pic, but it has changed me and my life after peeping into it. I will give you the best position in my heart and my life. Though it has not been long but still we have to be close to each other in just a short span of time. I hope to have a very loving and long life with you.I will feel more happy the closer I am to you. For my love is life and love is you. I love to talk to you on phone and my talks never end. There is always a new topic to share with you.

I'm not use to this kinda approach. It's too bad that I've deleted the rest... there are some which make you feel like you're on cloud nine... anyway... nothing is really real in the virtual world. I'm glad I already have someone by my side.... and he's real :) Love you~!

Birthday in Taiping...

28th December 2010. Mama's birthday. Penang water cut. All our houses are affected. So, I decided to celebrate Mama's birthday in a different way. Get out of Penang. Go to the nearest little town. I chose Taiping. We only had Taiping Zoo in mind. That's how good we are as planners. Never plan ahead. As long as it's not raining then we will go. God is good. The weather in the morning was bright and sunny. It's only an hour and 15 minutes drive to Taiping Town entering from the north exit. The first parking lot that I see, I drove straight into it. We were a little bit silly coming from a modern town. We were fumbling with the coins and the parking machine. Finally, we turned the thing and the machine swallowed the coins. Taiping... high time to change into a better parking meter. We had our brunch in town. Walking through the the stinky wet market, we went in search for the famous spring rolls and also wonton noodles. That's the best wonton noodles I have ever tasted. It's better than the one that I've been eating since I was 3 years old. The taste was completely different. The popiah which is the most famous in Taiping... oh, well... I still prefer the seafood popiah in Sungai Pinang Food Court... so what is the most famous is not what I like... Taiping Zoo~! We took the tram ride as we entered the zoo. It was a good tram tour with the lion's roar which sounded more like a dog with sore throat barking away. Isn't a lion from a cat's family? After the tram tour ended, we went on foot. It's a good walk as I was able to snap the photos from close range. That's the black swan trimming the grass at the edge of the pond. All the animals are visitor friendly. The wallaby that I didn't see in Australia. Actually, I felt like patting them but it wasn't a patting zoo and I'm afraid that I might lose my hand in the process. The ugly rhino... I have lots of photos of animals snapped in close range. They're all uploaded into Facebook photos already. Done within 15 minutes. That's really fast. The three little pigs. Three little bearded pigs in direct. In Malay language, the bearded pigs are known as 'babi bodoh' so direct translation to English means 'stupid pigs'. So there are such thing as stupid pigs next time, if it crosses my mind to give such a nickname to someone, I'll remember these bearded pigs. We walked the whole zoo until our legs were screaming to rest. I was a little bit disappointed that we didn't manage to play with the lion cubs as the caretaker was on leave. Thus, we went to do something which my precious and I have been planning to do. Yes~! Paddling on the swan boat. We paddled so fast that the swan boat wasn't moving at all. The men at the jetty laughed so hard asking us to paddle as slow as possible. So the slower we paddle, the faster we go. We paddled backwards, too and we find that it moved faster while we paddled backwards. We went round and round the lake for 30 minutes. It's only RM10 and it's in Taiping Lake Garden. Nothing to shout about for that place. Lake water is never clean because it's stagnant. It was drizzling and the rain was heavier by the time we finished our 30 minutes paddle. We were famished by 4 p.m. So we ordered the Malay fried koay teow. It took quite a while to fry and I was wondering what was cooking up in the kitchen. My precious asked me to go in and help to cook so that it would be faster. Never underestimate a stall with very few customers. That's the best fried koay teow I've ever tasted coming from a person who dislike fried koay teow no matter how famous it is as the number 1 hawker food in Penang. It was raining heavily by the time we finished eating. Due to the rain, we went to 'hide' at the Perak Museum. It was supposed to close at 5 p.m. and we thought we only had half an hour but due to the school holidays, the museum closes at 7 p.m. I rested a little while there as I was having a splitting headache and dizziness after squatting down less than 1 minute to look at a living dead squirrel. *sigh* Low blood pressure... thanks to that... In spite of the headache and dizziness, we reached home safely and by that time, I was snapping at anyone who's talking to me. The initial plan was to have dinner in Straits Quay... my favourite German cuisine but that was cancelled as mama is not up to eating so much. We changed to Northam Beach Cafe instead eating hawker food. I had my German Vienna sausage though and also pizza for dinner.

A good different way of celebrating birthday instead of the usual birthday cake and dinner.

A Time For Everything...

Donkey says,"There is a time for everything and everyone especially when you are ready for it."

Nonsense. *shakes head seeing how immature Donkey is in giving advice*

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

Whatever is has already been,
and what will be has been before;
and God will call the past to account.

And I saw something else under the sun:
In the place of judgment—wickedness was there,
in the place of justice—wickedness was there.
I said to myself,

“God will bring into judgment
both the righteous and the wicked,
for there will be a time for every activity,
a time to judge every deed.”

I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?”

So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?
[Ecclesiastes 3]

Not when you're ready. Nothing about when you're ready ever mentioned. God is a Sovereign God. *Dumb-founded with Donkey's lack of knowledge*

Walk by Faith...

Donkey says,"Walk with faith and strengthen by heart."

*Whacks Donkey on the head with a baseball stick*

Awaiting the New Body
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

The Ministry of Reconciliation

Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
[2 Corinthians 5]

*Smacks Donkey in the face* How long have you not been reading the Word of God? Stop playing with Mafia Wars during your free time. Dust the cover of your Bible and start reading like you're going to give a lecture on the Word of God. You sound more and more hopeless as the days go by. You're going to be 38 next year and your spiritual life is less than that of a 1 year old Christian baby.

The Person of God...

The study of God has been the ambition of philosophers and many more for millenniums. Some sit and meditate and try to think into the realm of the eternal Being. The only true knowledge about God can be gained from the Bible.
God has a personality. Personality is characterized by possessing knowledge, feeling and will power. An idol is devoid of personality for it neither knows, feels nor responds. Our God is an individual that is living and has definite characteristics. God is a person. He is not an influence or unseen force or power like electricity.
God is a Spirit. He has neither flesh, bones nor blood.

God is a single unit in contrast to the plurality of pagan gods.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.
[Deuteronomy 6:4]

“This is what the LORD says—
Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.
[Isaiah 44:6]
An attribute is a quality, property or unique characteristic of something. To be God, He must possess certain basic qualities:
  1. He is eternal. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. [Psalm 90:2] An idol is disqualified for it was made by someone, thus it had a beginning.
  2. He is unchangeable.
  3. He possess all power. He is omnipotent. Man makes things out of existing materials. God creates out of non-existent materials, objects that are good and perfect.
  4. He is present everywhere at one and the same time. He is omnipresent.
  5. He has all knowledge. He is omniscient. Nothing is hidden from God. For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war. [2 Chronicles 16:9] and Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. [Isaiah 40:28]
These are God's moral attributes:
  • God is holy
  • God is righteous
  • God is merciful
  • God is love
  • God is faithful
  • God is glorious
  • God is compassionate
  • God is unsearchable
  • God is good
  • God is immutable
  • God is true
  • God is incorruptible
  • God is a consuming fire
  • God is gracious
  • God is a jealous God
  • God is great
  • God is invisible
  • God is upright
  • God is light
  • God is perfect
  • God is immortal
  • THERE IS NONE LIKE HIM~!
Love Him. Worship Him. Serve Him. Obey Him. Fear Him~!

A Disturbing Sight... to me...

Idol worshipping. It's not in my list of things that I will ever do. The top is of my grandfather's followed by my grandmother's. I stepped into the house on Sunday and my eyes almost dropped out of the sockets. All these while, the house in SP is of great comfort but the sight of two altars in the living room, made me feel uneasy. I respect your religion thus, I've decided not to go for visits that often. I can't stand the smell of incense and none of you can force me to hold the joss sticks like what you all forced me to do when I was small. I stand firm in what I believe.
Praying to the ancestors, they believed in bringing good luck. I don't need good luck. I need God's blessings. When I die, don't put my ashes in an urn after cremation. Don't make it such a big deal as in where to put or who's house should I settle in. Sprinkle the ashes into the sea. Well... let the dead, bury the dead. I don't care what happens after I die...

Lazy Wednesday...

Just the night before, I planned to wake up at 8a.m. to have my work done. I woke up at exactly 8a.m. and find myself tangled up with the computer. The usual Facebook clicks. Clicked on my CityVille. My first time chatting with Uncle Lee from the States. Chatted with Naomi, my Fb friend who will fly back here next year. Then, with Uncle HH, pressured with workload. I'm counting my blessings... counting my blessings... counting my blessings... I have lots of work to do but I think I'll do it tomorrow or maybe next week. I've been struck with the holiday bug since November. It happens every year.

I'm still blogging away and it's going to be noon, soon. I seriously don't intend to do my work. Procratination takes over. I've switched on my computer speakers so that I can listen to the songs in my own blog. Like it very much. I have two more movies that I haven't watch and I inted to watch this week.

There's another party coming up this weekend. I'm the host this time round. I've hosted a lot of activities so it's Judz' turn to host. It will be a great one this weekend... three more days to work... three more days to work.. *breathe in... breathe out... breathe in... breathe out....*

I'm lazy. There... I admit that I am.

Busy Sunday...

Sunday. Skipped badminton session. Drove to SP. Went over with mama for mama's pre-birthday celebration. Sungai Petani is a sleepy town. It's an hour's drive up north. Drove off with eldest sis, SIL, mama, the little prince and princess to Parkson. That's the only place that I consider as lively. But not lively enough. Walked around. Got my new Voir bag. Not much to see. Went back home after getting the roasted duck for dinner and did something with my princess. Yeah... did some colouring. She's so much like me so we're good together. I know what is she like and how she reacts. And we both suck in colouring, yet we like to colour. She follows the colour of the examples given on the book cover. That's what I did when I was small, too. When we were shopping, we have to get what we want if not we will turn the whole world upside down.
After we're bored of colouring, we spent some time stamping in an exercise book. We both have short span of concentration. I can last for an hour and that's how long my princess lasted, too. So, we're always busy doing something and we can do a lot of things in a day. Well... that looks like a ship sailing in a rough sea. Dinner was good. Good and simple. The famous roast duck, steamed fish and some stir-fried vege from the farm. I like the night activities that I did with my kids. Went to Pesta... that's Challenger... A few months back when we were celebrating my precious' post-birthday, we went to the funfair. I had a post on that, too. Every game seemed like a leisure ride. So, we thought we got used to the rides and started on the Challenger. Now... we underestimated the speed. When it started to take the third spin, all of us were screaming off our heads. There's one point that all of us couldn't scream due to the pressure and my heart almost stopped. I'm seriously too old to play with all these stuff... thank God we didn't go on Top Gun or else my heart will jump out from my throat. My precious, youngest and my pineapple went on the Lethal Weapon next. From the distant, it looked innocent playing on that until they went up and we were laughing so hard from down there. Looking at the facial expressions sent us in fits of laughter. They went up and then turned down with their mouths opened wide and screaming away. It went on like that for more than 10 rounds. I lost count of it. After screaming like crazy, there were a few rounds where they had no more energy to scream but it was still turning away, clockwise and anticlockwise and some body's sandal flew from the top... we really had a good laugh from down there.
My eldest and youngest have the guts to go on the Vortex. The rest of us just became spectators. Someone screamed, "OH, MY GOODNESS!" so loud and clear. They were turning 360 degrees while I was busy trying to snap their photos. The last game we had until the place closed for the day. Sky Rider... that was better. We went turning round and round the flying chairs. Not scary but we went "Whoa~" at every fast turn. We were one noisy lot of people. It was dizzyingly fun...the best part was we got the prince charming to go with us. He refused to follow us on other rides. In conclusion, we were quite silly to pay so much just to scream. There's joy in screaming in unison... We broke record of staying out until 1a.m. by the time we reached home it was already 2a.m.

Sleeping Positions...

Foetus position: More women than men adopt this position, and are most likely to appear tough on the outside but are sensitive deep in their hearts.

Log: Lying on the side with both arms down tells you that the sleeper is an extrovert who trusts people easily, but could be naive in nature.

Yearner: Sleepers with both arms out in front are believed to have an open personality but could be indecisive.

Soldier: Lying with both arms or hands pinned to the sides are people who are quiet and reserved, but tend to be loyal to their friends and partners.

Freefall: Lying on the front with hands around the pillow, head turned to one side, reveals that the sleeper is loud, brash and does not take criticism.

Starfish: Lying on the back with both hands around the pillow are usually people with good listening skills and they attract many friends who seek genuine advice.

I think it's not accurate how bedzine describe the characteristics of people according to the sleeping positions. I am both a yearner and a starfish. I can be indecisive but not all the time. It depends on the situation. A good listening skill, I do not have. I have the lousiest listening skills. I make sure people listen to me, not the other way round. Freefaller describes me better... but I don't sleep that way...

A Joyous Christmas...

It is indeed a wonderful Christmas. I woke with this right smacked on my face... it's a Christmas cow~!This is the day to shout for joy and the angels in heaven stopped all activities to cheer for the occassion. It is a day where my eldest, my precious and my youngest are being baptized.
One cheer for Jesus~!
Two cheers for Jesus~!
Three cheers for Jesus~!
All in all there are 19 cheers from FGA Penang and I believe there are more cheers in other churches throughout Malaysia~! Our day didn't just end there. After having a simple lunch, we proceed to the largest mall in Penang to catch a movie... The movie Gulliver's Travel was so so only. Rapunzel is still by far the nicest show. Looks like all the children's stories which are converted into movies have been altered. Gulliver travelled from the land with small people to the land of giant and then went back to the land of small people to rescue his girl. I have two more movies to watch before next year's school terms start. We rushed off to the bowling alley after our movie. The kids did some shopping for Christmas gift exchange on Boxing Day. We took two lanes and I got a strike but did not win the game. Looks like my usual bowling ball will be the 11kg ball. It rolls in a more stable path without sidelining into the drain. Well... that depends on how you throw it.
Ahhh... I did not bring the camera with me to the annual Christmas party. No shots for the party. All in all, it is a fruitful day and definitely a joyous Christmas with friends and family.
Thanks Judz and Gracie for such lovely gifts. I can't wait to start reading the book on Rumours...
My Christmas Voir bag from mama.. *whoots* Love you all for making it a wonderful day~!

Merry Christmas~!

In exactly less than an hour, every place that's holding Christmas countdown, will shout "MERRY CHRISTMAS" and acted in such a way that no one can fathom. Cars will hoot and before you know it, your own car will jerk like crazy with teenagers and young adults jumping on your car. Snowflakes from spray can will cover your windscreen and before you know it, a fight takes place and you don't even know why you choose to get out of your house to do the countdown instead of staying at home, be safe and spend it well with the warmth of the family members.

I'm not the party type and I've been in the crowd once where tsunami hit the next day. It will surprise you how the non-believers will celebrate Christmas in full scale. I know that Christmas has been commercialized throughout the world, Christmas carols blaring through the loud speakers in shopping malls. When I hear the song 'Joy to the World... the Saviour reigns..." How funny as so many who celebrates Christmas with gift exchange and partying around with the Yuletide log which has no bearing to the real Saviour, do not know the Saviour at all or refuse to acknowledge Him.

Learn the true meaning of Christmas or better still, start knowing the Saviour. He's better than just celebrating Christmas on the 25th of December. By the way, it's Merry Christmas with CHRIST, not Merry Xmas....

Movies... Movies... Movies...

The movie Unstoppable is based on a true story about a runaway train in Pennsylvania. It was due to human error. Too lazy to carry out an easy task properly. When the movie was screened in the cinema, the whole theatre was full house. Every one watched the movie in total silence and gasped once in awhile when the train took a sharp turn. Two brave heroes managed to catch up with the train and stop it before worse disaster strikes.

A Mighty Heart is also based on a true story that happened in Karachi where a Western journalist was kidnapped and beheaded in Karachi. It's a cruel act against another human being but I guess the killers were blinded in one way or another. I will not discuss other religion in my blog other than my own.

Rapunzel from Disney is the best cartoon ever~! It sent a few little girls in the cinema crying when the evil old lady betrayed Rapunzel and the handsome man was taken away from the princess. I like the horse sniffing away like a doggie. I don't mind watching it again and again.
Oh...oh~! I like this type of movie. Action movie... and I like Angelina Jolie's movies.... she also starred in A Mighty Heart... she's not the only one I like... I like Katherine Heigl as well...
That's a nice movie as well. Very down to earth, witty and hilarious plus serious... all wrapped up in one movie...
Don't mess with someone who's really desperate. The mind will work to its max and everything must and will fall through whatever plan there is. I like the story line and if it's based on true story, I will salute to the man for going all out to rescue his wife.
This one I don't really like. I prefer watching Ip Man. This is the life of Bruce Lee.
I cried watching this. It was so touching to see such loyalty. He took care of him for 2 years but he waited for him for at the train station for the next 9 years. I want an Akita. It's such a special breed of doggie...

I've watched so many movies until I can't remember the title of some of the movies unless I see the movie poster. It's Christmas eve today and I'm still working until late at night. *ARGH* Super stress.... but I've planned well for tomorrow... and even got the movie tickets for everyone ready...
